  • 150 dried chickpeas
  • 100 g boiled spinaches
  • 2 spring onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 3 slices smoked ham
  • 1/2 celery stalk
  • 2 big sage leaves
  • 1 l boiling water (or more)


Leave the chickpeas in cold water for a night, then rinse them.

In a pot fry gently in olive oil the chopped smoked ham with the chopped spring onions, carrots and celery, then add the chickpeas, spinach and hot water.

Cook for one hour and 30 minutes, until the chickpeas are tender, halfway through cooking add the sage leaves.
