Ingredients
- 250 ml water
- 150 gram all purpose flour
- 120 gram unsalted butter
- 3 eggs
- a pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
Directions
add the water, sugar, salt and butter to a sauce pan and heat it until it starts boiling.
Start adding flour gradually while mixing until it forms a dough that forms into a ball.
Remove from the heat and set aside.
In a bowl beat the eggs and vanilla together then very gradually pour the egg mixture on the dough while beating it until it is all well incorporated and the dough has a thick sticky texture.
Place the paste into a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle and pipe sticks with about 3 cm apart onto a baking sheet lined with parchement paper.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 15-20 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Serve the churros with chocolate sauce or sprinkle a mixture of sugar and ground cinnamon on them.
