for the crust:
- 1 and 1/2 cups ground butter cookies
- 5 Tablespoons melted butter
- 1/4 cupgranulated sugar
- 900 gr. cream cheese
- 1 cup granultaed sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
Add the ground cookies to a bawl then add the melted butter & the sugar.
Mix until you have a dough with a sandy texture.
Press the mix on the floor & sides of a springform baking pan and bake the crust for about 5 minutes in the oven.
After taking the pan out of the oven wrap an alu foil on the floor from the outside & set it aside to cool.
beat the cream cheese and the sugar in a mixer until creamy then add the sour cream and the vanilla extraxt and beat again until combined.
Add the eggs one egg at a time and mix.
Pour the mix on top of the crust and place the pan in a bigger pan and then fill the outer pan with hot waterto make a water bath.
Bake the cake in the water bath a preheated oven at 180C for about an hour or until the filling becomes firm.
Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool uncovered until it reaches room temprature.
Refragurate the cake for about 4 hours or over night.
