Mazapanes

Ingredients

  • 200gr of Ground Almond
  • 200gr of icing sugar
  • 1 egg

Directions

Separate the egg white from the egg yolk

Mix very well the ground almond with the icing sugar and the egg white until you obtain a homogeneous dough.

Then separate portions of about 15-17 grams, with which we make balls. There is no need to weigh them, but this way we make sure that all the figures weigh the same.

With each ball we make the figure that we like the most, (if you have children this part will be fun for them!). You can even stretch the dough with a roller and cut the figures with a cookie cutter, although It is more fun if you do it yourself.

Once all the figures are made, we put them on a baking sheet, brush the surface with the egg yolk and bake at 200 degrees Celsius or 400 degrees Fahrenheit until they brown slightly. Watch out for the oven, they burn in an oversight.

Lastly, the hardest part, wait and let them cool, it is crucial!
