Story of the recipe
These croissants are a fantastic last-minute appetizer, really simple and let’s be honest: everyone loves a good croissant!
Bu this recipe is connected to a special memory…. I volunteered in a summer camp in the mountains for kids and I was in the cook team.
It was one of the most incredible experience, cooking everyday, all day for 30 or more people (up to 80!). I was so lucky that my team had an amazing bond and we laughed so much, we shared sugestions and even if there was a predetermined menu, we inevitable ended up improvising every meal because we were inspired by this or that ingredient… and even if I was the newbie my suggestions were considered like the other ones.
And one day, we decided that we wanted to surprise our kids the next day with a special breakfast. We bought all the puff pastry we could find at the local store, we wake up at 5 a.m. and we prepared dozens of sweet croissants….. that was a memorable morning!
