- 1/2 cup soft unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- a punch of salt
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup cocoa
In a bowel mix the butter and the sugar until creamy
Add the eggs, one by one mixing in between, then add the vanilla extract, the salt and the cinnamon and mix.
Add the butter milk and mix.
Add the flour and the baking powder and mix.
Prepare a baking pan by lining it with butter and flour.
Pour 3/4 the batter in the pan.
Add the cacao to the rest of the batter and mix.
Pour the cacao batter in the pan and make swirls with a fork or a skewer .
Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 360°F for about 45 minutes or an inserted skewer comes back clean.
Let the cake cool, sprinkle some powder sugar (optional) then slice and serve.
