Cassava pudding(manioc)

Difficulty: easy

First version:


  • 500 gram cassava
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoon vanilla essence


Peel off the cassava skin, wash and grate the cassava.

Drain the excess water from the cassava.

In a blender add the cassava and the milk and blend until well incorporated.

Put the blend in a bowl and add the sugar and the vanilla and mix well.

Grease a cooking mold and pour the mix in.

Place the mold in a water bath and bake in an oven at 225C for 30 minutes.

Remove from the oven, cut and sprinkle grated coconut.

Second version:


  • 500 gram grated cassava
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence


Mix everything together

Grease a baking tray and pour the mixture in it.

Place the tray into a bigger tray with some hot water in it.

Bake at 170 C for 35 minutes

Cut and roll in grated coconuts.
