Difficulty: easy and quick to make using a rice cooker

Ingredients
- 2-3 cup rice ( soak in water for 30 min to 1h before use)
- 5-6 large chicken pieces
- 8 potato pieces
- onion for frying
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 3/4 tablespoon ginger
- 1 onion
- 1/2 tomato
- 5-8 cardamom
- 7 cloves
- 2 tablespoon cumin seed
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- salt to taste
- chopped coriander
- chopped mint
- green chili
- cooking oil
Procedure
Fry chicken and Potatoes only have way through, fry onions and set all aside.
In a blender blend the tomato with an onion and set aside.
In a pot add the chicken, potatoes and onions, cover with water and bring to a boil.
Add salt, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, cumin seed.
Add the rice to the water and remove from the water when it is half cooked and spread on the biryani mixture.
Add the fried onion and 1 tablespoon of ghee on top.
Cook on high heat for 10-15 minutes or low hat for 40 minutes.
Can be served with tamarind chutney, cucumber and carrots salad.
