African doughnuts

Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 2 eggs (optional)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1cup of water
Procedure
Mix the dry ingredients (flour, sugar and baking powder) together.
Add the butter and egg then mix with hands.
Make a hole and pour your water, then mix until its no longer sticky on hands!(That part is essential – shouldn’t be sticky).
Kneed the dough and cut into eight pieces (or however size you want).
Fry on low heat so that the inside has time to cook.

Uhm… I don’t know, I’ll ask the author, but I found a recipe of the Botswana version that doesn’t have butter and instead milk… slightly different… maybe it’s a variation of the same “theme”
