Spinach with yams

Difficulty: moderate


  • 200 gram dry fish
  • 500 g meat
  • 2 and 1/2 diced Tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • pepper spices
  • Dry shrimp
  • 2000g frozen spinach without cream
  • 1 sweet yam
  • 3 diced carrots


put 100 ml of oil in the pot Add meat and dry fish and onion

cook it for about 10 minutes  

add the tomatoes, the carrots and spices

cook till the meat is well cooked and the stew is concentrated

 Add the spinach and the dry shrimp

 Mix it and leave it of about 10 minutes. 

 Peal the yam and cut it in pieces, wash it and put it in a separate pot

Add water and let it cook till done

Add salt or sugar to the yams to your liking

serve the spinach with the yams

 About this recipe: 

This is a Cameroonian meal and in Cameroon we use different vegetable  where I live we don’t have it so I replaced it with spinach
